McDonalds
McDonalds have a McCafe which I have not seen
before but it is a good idea, the whole restaurant is of a high standard
although some of the seating arrangements seem to be designed for the vertically
challenged like myself!
First 3 pictures are from November 2000

All the bars charge French prices and a bit
more for drinks so buy some at the hypermarket some where. A pint of beer will cost around
FF40 or £4 or $6.50. (Sorry if I missed your currency out there). |
We had a really bad
experience at Planet Hollywood.

|
There were eight of us and we
ordered two rounds of sandwiches and six soups, seven Cokes and a cup of tea. The cost for
that was FF400 or £40 or $67! Although the place was empty when we arrived they insisted
on sitting us at a large round table which was too crowded. Four of us had to climb over
seats to sit down. We had one soup delivered along with five Cokes. The waiter then said
he was tired and was going home. It took us half an hour to get the attention of another
waiter who then asked if she could take our order. We said we had already ordered and that
we were still waiting and she then went and got another three soups. It took another 20
minutes to get the other two soups and a further 15 minutes for the sandwiches. The cup of
tea eventually arrived as we were getting ready to leave. There were no apologies and in
fact the waitress made it plain on several occasions while we were settling our bill that
we should giver her a tip. I did advise her to get another job which I thought was the
best tip I could give under the circumstances. I wrote to Planet Hollywood when I got home
but I got a letter back saying that while they appreciated there may have been a
disagreement over the level of service that day, they had every confidence in their staff
and were sure that if I was to return the experience would be altogether different. I
don't think so! |
If you still want to give it a try,
and lets face it, they may have had an off day. These are the details.

It should be noted that the Rainforest Cafe and
McDonalds are not actually part of Disney and as such you cannot use
your hotel pass in them.
