Last Stay November 1994
When we stayed
here it was in a room which can just be seen on the second floor to the left of the
picture over looking the ice rink. There are ice machines on every level to go with the
really overpriced drinks from the mini bar.
On our last day the two boys were
waiting in reception when Tigger wandered in and danced with them for several minutes
around the Christmas tree. It was a magical experience and a lasting memory.
The pool
It is open until quite late so
ideal for after a long day at the park. they provide the towels for you and there are
changing rooms down there. You can also get drinks from the bar which is alongside the
pool. We loved it on our November visit. The pool also goes outside the hotel and one
evening at around 9pm we had a swim and swam under the doors to the open air. It was
wonderful and fresh yet still we were quite warm in the pool. If you get the chance, do
give it a try.
The rooms are really comfortable
if a little stuffy. The pillows are soft and fluffy and the beds high off the ground. I
liked the bathroom with it's double sink and fitted hair dryer. Well designed.
One of my contributors, Susan Cordwell, had this
to say about the Hotel New York:
the rooms are spacious
and very comfortable, we frequently saw characters in the lobby - much too
our children's delight, the characters seamed to have loads of time for the
kids here as they were not inundated by lots of hopeful little autograph
hunters as they are in the park.
