Some general pictures around the park (Debbie 2004)

Susan Corwell had this to say about Halloween:

The Halloween parade is good, and the characters were more fun than in Florida e.g. goofy was shaking hands with my kids and handing out sweets.

This was the third time we've been to DLP and we've had two visits to Florida, this visit was by far the busiest, the park was heaving, there was a lot of hustle and bustle, I don't know if this was because it was Halloween, unseasonably good weather or that people we've choosing to go to DLP rather than Florida following September 13th. It was really too busy at times, the kids were jostled at certain times - trying to move away from main street after the parades etc. The queues were two hours for big thunder mountain, space mountain. With young children in toe they were too long, During the day the fast pass tickets seam to slow the normal queues down. However we found the fast pass system fairly good when we did have the tickets, but you still have to wait a fairly long time before you can use them. We found the best time to go on the rides was after six there were hardly any queues - guess because the day trippers have gone but also because the fast pass system doesn't work after then. Food outlets in the park were also very busy, even after 2.00 pm it was very difficult to get somewhere to sit in the buzz lightyears pizza planet and the cowboy cookout

Lots of Halloween type events - kids could get their face painted and hair done with colours, spiders and cobwebs. Piñata was played every day, very popular with the kids, staff were walking distributing sweets to those kids who didn't get any from the Piñata - nice touch.

We managed to get tickets for the Halloween party on the 31st. before we went, which was probably as well, as there was some guy kicking off in the hotel lobby because he couldn't book tickets then. On the night the park shut at 8.00pm and reopened @ 9.00 pm until 2.00am.  Frontierland and Discoveryland are open, they are renamed Halloween land and DISCOveryLand. The queues were not long at all and the kids loved the little extra's e.g. a giant pumpkin projected on thunder mountain and the castle. There was a real party atmosphere many guests were in fancy dress. Fireworks at midnight - good, but not a patch on Florida's.
